Genital Aesthetics

Genital aesthetics encompasses procedures aimed at correcting congenital or acquired shape and functional disorders in the genital area that cause discomfort. These procedures can be performed surgically or through various injections and laser applications. Perineoplasty, vaginoplasty, labioplasty, O and G-spot injections, PRP, and fat filler applications are all considered genital aesthetic procedures.

What is Genital Aesthetics?

Like all parts of the body, the genital area changes with age. Vaginal widening after pregnancy and childbirth, bladder or bowel prolapses (herniation of the vaginal wall),and scars from episiotomy stitches can cause distress in women.

In some cases, the inner labia may be excessively large from birth, causing daily discomfort, or asymmetry in the labia, volume loss, and sagging in the outer labia may occur. These conditions can lower a woman’s self-confidence and lead to reduced sensitivity during intercourse, difficulty achieving orgasm, or decreased sexual desire. Patients with such complaints are carefully examined.

During the evaluation, the entire genital area—including the vagina, inner and outer labia, and clitoris—is assessed to determine which procedure will be most beneficial.

• Vaginoplasty: Vaginal tightening surgery
• Hoodoplasty: Removal of the clitoral hood folds

Is Vaginal Aesthetic Surgery Performed Under Anesthesia?

The need for anesthesia depends on the type of aesthetic procedure. Some patients may require spinal (regional) anesthesia, while others may need mild sedation for light unconsciousness.

Will There Be Scarring After Genital Aesthetic Surgery?

• Perineoplasty: There will be stitches in the genital area, but the likelihood of noticeable scarring is reduced with fine sutures and proper technique.
• Labioplasty: Stitches will be present on the labia, but they are very fine and placed using specialized techniques, making visible scarring minimal.
• Vaginoplasty: Stitches are internal, so they are not visible.
• Majoraplasty (Outer labia aesthetics): Stitches can be more noticeable, but placing them toward the inner part of the labia reduces the chance of visible scars.
